Quais convênios e planos de saúde são aceitos?

Atendimento particular. Emissão de recibo para reembolso conforme o seu plano de saúde.

Quanto tempo dura uma consulta?

A primeira consulta dura cerca de 60 minutos — tempo necessário para ouvir sua história com calma. Retornos têm em média 30 a 40 minutos. Sem pressa.

Atende crianças e idosos?

Sim. O Médico de Família atende todas as idades, da infância à terceira idade, incluindo gestantes e cuidados no envelhecimento.

Posso fazer teleconsulta?

Para retornos e seguimentos selecionados, a teleconsulta é uma opção. A primeira consulta é, em regra, presencial — é fundamental para um bom vínculo e exame físico.

Qual a diferença entre Médico de Família e Clínico Geral?

São duas especialidades distintas reconhecidas pelo CFM. O Clínico Geral/Médico Clínico foca em doenças internas do adulto. O Médico de Família tem especialização em cuidado longitudinal, prevenção, dinâmica familiar e coordenação do cuidado para todas as idades.

Why I chose Family Medicine

I chose Family Medicine because caring with quality requires continuity — and continuity requires trust built over time. Modern medicine, fragmented into specialists who rarely communicate with one another, often fails exactly where it matters most: in the integration of care and in the relationship between physician and patient.

I work as a Family Physician at the Municipal Health Department of Jaraguá do Sul and as a Preceptor in the Medicine undergraduate program at IDOMED — two settings that shape a clinical vision guided by evidence, diagnostic precision and a commitment to fostering a more humane and more effective medicine. I believe that rigorous clinical reasoning and attentive listening are not opposites: they are complementary.

My three professional principles are: humanized care — listening before prescribing; personalized care — adapting medicine to each person's concrete history; and clinical precision with responsibility — decisions grounded in evidence, feasible in the real world and intellectually honest.

In private practice, every consultation has adequate, unhurried time. My goal is for each patient to have not only an answer to the complaint of the moment, but a trusted physician to coordinate care in a continuous, careful and personalized way — throughout their entire life.

How does scheduling an appointment work?

Scheduling is done directly through WhatsApp, using the button beside this. You receive confirmation of your appointment time, preparation instructions (when needed), and the office address.

Which health insurance plans are accepted?

Private practice. A receipt is issued for reimbursement according to your health insurance plan.

How long does a consultation last?

The first consultation lasts about 60 minutes — the time needed to listen to your history unhurriedly. Follow-up visits average 30 to 40 minutes. No rush.

Do you see children and older adults?

Yes. The Family Physician cares for all ages, from childhood to older adulthood, including pregnant patients and care during aging.

Can I have a telemedicine consultation?

For selected follow-ups and continued care, telemedicine is an option. As a rule, the first consultation is in person — it is essential for building a good rapport and performing a physical examination.

What is the difference between a Family Physician and a General Practitioner?

These are two distinct specialties recognized by the CFM. The General Practitioner is, in fact, the specialist in Internal Medicine — focused on adult diseases, especially more complex internal conditions. The Family Physician has specific training in longitudinal care, prevention, a family-centered approach, and coordination with other specialists — caring for all ages and serving as the patient's steady point of reference throughout life.

Do you handle urgent and emergency cases?

Yes. I handle urgent cases during office hours (high fever, sudden pain, hypertensive crisis, flare-ups of chronic diseases), fitting you in whenever possible. For patients in longitudinal follow-up, most flare-ups are resolved in the office — without a rush to the emergency room. In emergencies with an imminent risk to life (suspected heart attack, stroke, severe breathing difficulty, trauma), the appropriate care is immediate at an urgent care unit or a hospital with a 24-hour emergency department.

Do you make home visits?

Yes. I provide home care for bedridden patients, older adults with reduced mobility, people with restricted movement, or those who prefer to be seen at home for other reasons. The visit includes a complete consultation, physical examination, prescription, and guidance for the family/caregiver. Availability and geographic coverage are arranged via WhatsApp.
